 UNI 1, lesson 2:

 1. When greeting a visitor, it's important to make them feel welcome and comfortable. Here are some common ways to greet a visitor:


Hello and welcome! - A simple and friendly greeting that sets a positive tone.

Good morning/afternoon/evening! - A more formal greeting based on the time of day.

How can I help you? - Showing readiness to assist the visitor with any inquiries or needs.

It's great to have you here! - Expressing appreciation for the visitor's presence.

Is this your first time here? - Showing interest in the visitor's previous experience with the place.

Please make yourself at home. - Inviting the visitor to feel comfortable and relaxed.

Let me know if you need anything. - Offering assistance or support during their visit.  


2. Person A: Hello and welcome! Are you visiting our city for the first time?

 Person B: Yes, it's my first time here. I'm excited to explore!


Person A: That's great! How can I help you make the most of your visit?

 Person B: I'm interested in trying some local cuisine. Any recommendations?


Person A: Absolutely! We have many great restaurants in the area. Have you ever tried seafood?

 Person B: Yes, I love seafood!


Person A: Perfect! There's a fantastic seafood restaurant just a few blocks away. I can give you directions if you'd like. Person B: That would be wonderful. Thank you!


Person A: You're welcome! Please make yourself at home while you're here. If you need anything else, feel free to let me know.

 Person B: Thank you for your hospitality. I'm sure I'll enjoy my time here.


Person A: It's our pleasure to have you here. Enjoy your meal and your time in our city!

 Person B: Thank you. I'm looking forward to it!

3. I have already greeted the visitor with a warm smile and a firm handshake.

I have never been to Colombia, but I have always been fascinated by its rich culture.

I have already explored the bustling streets of Bogota and the picturesque beauty of Cartagena.

She has never experienced the vibrant nightlife of Medellin, but she is eager to do so.

Have you ever tasted Colombian coffee? It's renowned for its bold and distinct flavors.

I have yet to visit the charming city of Cali, but it's on the top of my travel bucket list.
